Exquisite color and form for showcase accents. This fluorescent and prolifically blooming hydrangea is beyond belief. Preziosa will have a multitude of colors on the flowers and leaves when grown in lots of sun. This plant will feature blooms in all stages at once with breathtaking effect. The dark maroon stems contrast against the foliage adding to its richness and color for your landscape. Make sure that it grows in plenty of moist but not soggy soil.
Rosy pink flowers fade to burgundy, new leaves reddish. Fall color red-burgundy. Regular water. Zones 6-9
This hydrangea will stay tight and get about 4' x 4'. The rose-pink florets become darker as the summer progresses until they are almost purple; the stems too are purplish. zone 6
Bears somewhat small rounded mop head flowers that start out white, passing through pale green, pink or lavender and ultimately end up deep rich red. This deepening of the flower color is accompanied by a deepening of the foliage color as well. By Fall, this hydrangea will, to use an overused but almost mandated phrase, "stop you in your tracks". I saw it first at Chanticleer where no plants are labeled and, I literally went in search of the head gardener to find out what it was. (He wasn't readily available but I persevered, as this plant truly warranted identification.) I put it at the top of my 'WE MUST HAVE THIS' Plant List. And now we do. And so must you...

This wonderful variety bears small mophead-type blooms continuously throughout the growing season, bringing pink flowers that deepen to a rich burgundy in the fall. The foliage is also flushed with burgundy, turning bronze later in fall. 'Preziosa' prefers some afternoon shade.
