Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This great evergreen was grown in the 50’s and 60’s. We had a huge freeze in 1972 (-12°F), which seemed to have doomed the plant. The small holly like leaves are deep green year round. The small flowers are brilliant orange and literally cover the plant in March. Has been hardy ever since ’72.
