Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Interesting, textured, and seldom-seen evergreen shrub from New Zealand's South Island, similar to P. divaricatum, but smaller, slower-growing, and with thicker stems that are less intertwining. Height and width to 6-8'. Small brownish-green leaves are deeply lobed on juvenile plants, becoming whole and much larger as plants fully mature. Pretty, maroon flowers appear in spring. Sun to semi-shade in well-drained soil. Regular summer watering. Quite cold hardy, to upper USDA zone 7. Pittosporaceae
