Sweet sempervivum, with red-burgundy leaves in a small rosette, to 2.5" in diameter, the leaves curling outwards from a tightly formed center. Full sun to light shade in well-drained soil is best. These are drought tolerant but make a better showing with summer moisture. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.
