Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Peruvian Lily. A collection by Jane McGary from South America of this hot little number. Revels in a sunny rocky soil but is extra happy in good garden soil. It is a rapid spreader via underground rhizomes so contain or give it room to ramble. Flowers of rich orange and good cut.
Among the finest of all perennials for providing loads of long-lasting cut flowers. This evergreen Alstroemeria grows 2’-3’ tall & bears the prettiest soft peachy, orchid-like blooms liberally sprinkled & streaked with purple-maroon. So easy to grow in sun or light shade in rich, well-drained soil. Excellent for the side of the house, sloping banks, cutting gardens, containers or naturalized under trees. Quite vigorous & can be invasive in the garden, so take care with placement.
