Cutting-grown from a very compact plant grown from seed collected near Lake Baikal in Russia. Typical small lavender flowers on this deciduous species although something is nagging in the increasingly porous gray matter that it is white...........if only we had thought to take a picture. Either way, it is a fine plant especially if you garden in extreme cold and are just darned happy to find anything that will do well there regardless of the color! Our parent plant has been grown lean in a container for a dozen or more years and is perhaps 20" tall. We're thinking this will be hardy to zone 3.
