Nursery contributed plant descriptions

These are ex Taiwan seedlings from a Dan Hinkley collection of this neat species. It is always fun to sow seed of this one as you get a mix of broad leaf forms and very narrow leaf forms so you can pick your favorite. This is a great zone 8 and above plant and will work well in many areas in our Puget Sound region. Evergreen leaves on a thin-twigged plant to 10' or so tall. White flowers in late spring followed by black fruits. If you are lucky enough to live in a mild area, you can go wild and use this as a hedge or be like everyone else and enjoy it as a specimen plant.
