This tree peony has single golden yellow flowers. The plant can get to 8' tall in 20 years. The foliage is typical tree peony form but is longer and narrow. These plants are seedlings so may take 2-3 years to bloom but will have uniform gold, yellow flowers.
Magnificent, semi-double, cup-shaped, golden-yellow flowers grace this fabulous peony in early summer. Interesting, deep-green foliage is deeply-cut and makes this vigorous 5-7' shrub distinctive and eye-catching. This glorious native of Tibet is very easy-care, deer resistant and oh so worth growing! This shrub flowers on new wood, so if it gets too large you can just cut it back to nearly ground level. S/M
A nearly tropical looking woody species from China which has just recently been given specific status instead of just being a variety or subspecies. (You should have been at the party, without getting into specifics) Easy to grow and quick to fill a space, the foliage carries the day and the small yellow flowers are whimsical.
A superb, vigorous shrub species from Asia with large, deeply cut leaves and beautiful, large, golden-yellow, saucer-shaped flowers with exteriors often marked with red. The large, medium green pinnate leaves turn rich shades of yellow and orange with splashes of pink in the fall.
