Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the nicest yellows, this 20' x 20' multi-stemmed large shrub/small tree produces its tulip-fragrant, cup-shaped soft yellow flowers at a young age and early in the season before its glossy leaves appear; stunning! S/M
Diminutive size and bright yellow flowers, hardy. Somewhat fastidious in overall landscape appeal, Miss Honeybee is not the most yellow selection out there, but it fits a spot where 'Elizabeth' or other more robust cultivars would overwhelm a landscape corner. This is your plant if you want a yellow magnolia for a small space.
This hybrid selection of Cucumber Magnolia is said to be one of the best hardy yellow flowered Magnolias with a compact habit. It reaches a more modest height of 20-30', and blooms at a young age. Red fruit.
Small, lustrous, dark green leaves grace this large, deciduous shrub or small bushy tree of 20-30' in height. A young bloomer, it offers large, pale yellow flowers early in the season that are tulip shaped and lightly fragrant.

Has deep yellow flowers in mid April just before the leaves unfurl. The flowers are smaller than M. 'Elizabeth' but are deep yellow and have the dark green foliage as a background.
