Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A beautiful species just for the narrow foliage alone, which densely clothes the relatively long stems in whorls. In fall, they take on golden-yellow tones. The large, electric blue flowers, arranged in clusters, are an amazing work of art: The white throat is purple spotted in rows, the spots extend into the blue lobes of the corolla (petals) but are yellowish to clear in color. At the crest the flowers are fringed. Easy to grow in an average, well drained garden soil and long-lived.
