Hailing from China (NW Yunnan, Upper Burma) in open meadows, among granite rocks and snowfields in elevations from 11,000 to 16,000 feet! The flowers are arranged in clusters of 3-8 flowers, each about 1 1/2" across, with a cream base color, striped and dotted blue on the outside, the lobes on the inside are pale blue. Grows best in a cooler climate or higher elevation in moisture retentive soil. Very rare in cultivation and for the experienced collector only.
