Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This rare selection has a most intriguing coloration. While the lobes are white, the throat and outside of the trumpet are purple infused. Acquired 2007 in Germany, we finally have a few to share, after 8 years! Gentiana clusii grow in very tight clumps and doesn't produce any rhizomes like the acaulis types. COULD be propagated by seed, but so far our plants have refused to set any. We've finally got hold of another clone and hope cross pollenating will do the trick. This would allow us to offer them at a more decent price.
