Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From about 6200' on the south slopes of the Pinaleno Mountains of SE Arizona comes this mat-forming desert fern, to only 4-5" in height but spreading indefinitely, not to encircle the entire planet, but reasonably to about 3', with parsley-like, succulent kinda-hair evergreen fronds and growing in shallow-pans of granitic and limestone soil. Take a breath. Fabulous at home, in rock garden, rock wall, or as a container plant, or very small-scale groundcover under shrubs, agaves, etc. Tolerant of great drought, partially for their roots ability to access tiny fissures in stone. Best with some summer water. Frost hardy to USDA zone 6.
