Zn 7. Green leaves and pink flowers in spring
This large Manzanita will get to 9’ tall and 6-7’ wide. The bark is lovely mahogany colored. The leaves are rounded and are sage green. Will take dry summer conditions. Must have excellent drainage.
Lovely manzanita -- easy in our climate, to 8 ft tall and as wide, densely structured with round, gray-green leaves and white, bell flowers in late winter followed by small red berries. Full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
One of the largest that we grow, reaching heights up to 12 feet at maturity, with urn-shaped flowers of pale pink. Austin Griffiths develops a dark burgundy muscular branching structure, a VERY sculptural form. Evergreen.
