Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A beautiful complement to other ferns; a grower's dream. Like a miniature fern, its dense leaflets form in tightly held clumps that remain contained as the plant matures. Growing to 6" in height, it requires an enclosed atmosphere where humidity is high. Tolerant to lower light levels, it will grow without direct sunlight in north windows or room interiors.
Looks much like a fern and is closely related to them. The evergreen fronds are bright green spring to summer, turning darker in fall. In frost-free regions, it will stay that way thru the winter, in colder regions the fronds will turn orangey-pink to bronze. Slow spreading and likes an average to moist, well draining soil. Will tolerate dryer conditions once established.
