Polystichum makinoi is an elegant, evergeen clump-forming Holly Fern that displays lustrous, arching fronds with purple-brown midribs and furry stems. Has a refined appearance. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands and naturalized landscapes.
