Korean rock fern is a smaller growing evergreen fern. The narrow fronds are deep green year round. Originally brought from Asia as a cut green for the florist trade. But, it turns out its hardy and a good garden plant.
Distinctive black stems and dark veining throughout the fronds beautifully contrasts the shiny-green foliage of this attractive evergreen fern. Creating 12" mounds, these ferns are perfect for massing or for edging in the shade garden. These small ferns are wonderful in containers and make an excellent indoor plant where they are not hardy outdoors. A small species which enjoys a rich but well drained soil, and does especially well tucked into shady stone walls and rocky crevices. it is semi-evergreen, and in zone 6 it needs a protected spot to have year round foliage. 8-12".
