The earliest blooming Hydrangea we know of, this rare beauty from Dan Hinkleys collection starts in March or April and continues into summer. Amazing white lacecaps with golden yellow central florets... softly fragrant, ‘jasmin-esque’. Deciduous shrub, 3-4’ high and wide; part shade, regular water, good garden soil. Wow! Just Wow!
Chartreuse-gold and white lacecap flowers with serrated petals bloom in very early spring bringing a jasmine scent to the garden -- so unusual in a hydrangea! This one came from Dan Hinkley, from seed he collected in Sichuan Province, China. 5' x 5" Minimum temperature: -10?F
Large, fragrant lacecaps of white sterile florets around gold to chartreuse lacey reproductive florets. This cultivar is the earliest of hydrangea to bloom and smells sweetly of honey which will fill the entire garden. Narrow textured leaves complete the show on this handsome shrub. Introduced by Dan Hinkley from his collections from southern Sichuan, China.
