Nursery contributed plant descriptions
Seedless kumquats are hard-to-find. 'Nordmann Seedless Nagami' has teardrop shaped fruit that's tart and juicy with a flavor similar to the standard 'Nagami' kumquat, but it's seedless. Kumquats are meant to be eaten, skin and all, so the combination of flavors creates a sweet/tart taste. The fruit of 'Nordmann Seedless Nagami' is about 2" long x 3/4" diameter and they hang in ornamental clusters on the tree. Our true-to-name grafted plant will bloom and fruit sooner. Within one year, it will flower in the summer and set fruit just in time for the holidays with fruit ripening from December to June. As with all citrus, keep the roots healthy by drying out between waterings and give full sunlight and moderate amounts of fertilizer for steady growth.
