Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Like a colorful bird's nest cradled on long lance-shaped leaves, the outstanding orange flowers of Climbing Pandanus bloom reliably every spring. Flowering continues for many weeks after which we do an annual pruning, which helps maintain form and size and ensures flowering the following spring. This enduring plant has been with us for decades, although we have just recently decided to put this unusual Philippine native back into production so we can offer it in the catalog. Grow in filtered light, keep night temperatures above 60°F, and dry out between waterings for successful culture.
