It has an attractive rosette shape with patterned dark leaves highlighted with a variegated band in the middle. Tall sprays of lavender flowers arch out of the center of the plant and the lavender petals flow into a decorative white tubular neck. Primulina is an understory plant in its native habitat and will tolerate the dry environment of a home easily.
