Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Cara Cara Navel offers the gardener one of the best and healthiest citrus varieties. It has distinctive pinkish-red flesh, due to the presence of the antioxidant lycopene, and it's sometimes called the 'Red Navel" or the 'Power Orange" because of its nutrition-packed fruit. This variety has become popular in markets since its introduction. Cara Cara navels have bright orange rind similar to other oranges and the seedless fruit ripens from November through January. Highly fragrant flowers arrive in late winter and the fruiting cycle begins again. This is a grafted plant that blooms and fruits sooner.
