Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Performing exceptionally well in potted containers, this unique species from Cuba creates a dazzling display from late spring through fall. Its long, tubular blooms arise en masse from its arching stems. Flowers emerge pure white and age to cream, emitting a spicy fragrance in the evening. The plant produces waves of bloom that open in concert, creating a spectacular show. Once flowers have faded, a new group begins to form and the show is repeated. We've found that once blooming has begun, this Brunfelsia can easily be maintained under 2' with little or no pruning as the lateral branches flower more than they grow.
