Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rich bluish-green fronds stand stiffly upright making an attractively domed central crown 24-42" tall contrasting well with other ferns. PSh-Sh/M
Wow…a fern with a common name almost as long as the Latin one! It has always been obvious to me that botanists who name ferns have OCD big time! This is one sweet small clumping fern at 12-24”…evergreen, stiff erect fronds, very lacy, bluish green, from the British Isles. Happiest with some shade, moist acidic soil with organic matter (we don’t indulge it…but it looks good!). Top Ten fern here. USDA Z6-9
Named or a British plantsman, this distinctive small to medium evergreen fern is notable for its sturdy blue green tinted foliage. Grows 12-18" tall and wide.
Handsome, upright fern with finely divided, blue-green, broad, angular fronds. Plant in partial sun to full shade & well drained moist soil. Size: 12” to 24”. Zones 4 to 8. Evergreen.
Found in 1969 on a field trip by the British Pteridological Society and named for the well known pteridologist Jimmy Dyce. Dark green with fronds that stay upright throughout the growing season.
Densely growing to 36" x 48" wide, evergreen or semi-evergreen. The overlapping fronds have a wavy, crumpled appearance.
