Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From Hungary, comes this delightful species of Waldsteinia. With leaves like a Geum (geoides), palmate, 3-5 lobed, acutely toothed and with yellow flowers that remind one a Potentilla verna. Much larger leaves than our native species (below). Suggested by the U. of IL as a good groundcover for the Mid-west. Impressive enough to be celebrated with it's own stamp

By: Lazy S'S Farm Nursery

Creeping ground covering plant that produces upright stems carrying its very pretty saucer-shaped bright yellow flowers, and mid-green lobed leaves. Excellent woodland colonizer. Easy to establish and grow.
