Edgeworthia hails from the same family as daphnes and shares some of their desirable characteristics while being easier to grow. It is a stout shrub with several widely branched trunks from the base and exceptionally long tropical-looking leaves that are coloured deep green above, grey-green below. The golden yellow fragrant flowers are borne in pendulous clusters in early spring. Best in moist soil and filtered light. A stunning plant all year long.

A smaller form of Paper Bush, a slow growing rounded shrub with a somewhat open habit, to about 5’ high and wide; deciduous foliage is elongated and narrower than species, turning yellow before falling in late autumn.
