    Mighty Mato Cherokee Purple Grafted Tomato is a broadleaf deciduous, evergreen or semi-evergreen annual / biennial or perennial fruit / vegetable with green foliage. In fall, spring and summer yellow flowers emerge followed by purple fruit. Features fuzzy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens.     A favorite at heirloom tomato taste testings, this sweet, rich, smokey tasting heirloom reportedly comes from the Cherokee tribe of native Americans. It has oblong fruits that are purple-brown in color, the shoulders often showing the most dark color. Multicolored inside with pink, purple and brown; green inside indicates it is not quite ripe. An indeterminate type that keeps on climbing, it needs good support."

    Cherokee Purple' is a dusky rose 19th century heirloom tomato with 8-12 oz. round fruits with complex, old-time, often smoky flavour. Perfect for slicing, sandwiches, and burgers. 75-85 days. Indeterminate. Mighty Mato Tomatoes are hand grafted onto super strong tomato rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so tomatoes start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Mato grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields.
