Nursery contributed plant descriptions

'Beefsteak' has bright red, slightly ribbed, 4 to 5" heirloom tomatoes with delicious, sweet, meaty flesh. An excellent slicer, but also wonderful for cooking, salads or canning. 85-95 days. Indeterminate. Mighty Mato Tomatoes are hand grafted onto super strong tomato rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so tomatoes start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Mato grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields. FOR MAIL ORDER: Please place a separate order for your tomatoes/"tomtatoes". See "Shipping Notes" tab for more details.
