Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Identical to the standard Cardiocrinum giganteum except that the new foliage is variously coloured with burgundy -- some plants have all burgundy leaves, others have burgundy veins and a burgundy infusion to the foliage, others have burgundy veins set in rich green leaves. The colour fades as the leaves age but they are spectacular and well worth it. They will make you gasp with delight when you come upon them unfurling in your spring garden. Provide a bit better drainage than the standard form.
