Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The blooms of Paeonia 'Magical Mystery Tour' open creamy yellow with a flush of lilac pink, ageing to ivory with a pink picotee and red centres. Itoh peonies are intersectional hybrids between tree peonies (P. suffruticosa) and garden peonies (P. lactiflora) making outstanding herbaceous perennials with huge flowers in many unusual colours. A mature plant can have over 50 blooms! The foliage is like a tree peony and emerges rich red, gradually turning green.
