Australian Finger Lime is a broadleaf evergreen fruit / vegetable or shrub with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge followed by green, pink and yellow fruit. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.
From 'Down Under" comes a truly unique variety of lime with a dense bushy habit, small dark green leaves and an abundance of tiny white flowers. Plants need to reach a foot or more in height and fill out a 6" pot before they bear fruit heavily. The seedless fruit is filled with tiny lime beads or juice vesicles which easily separate and can be used as a garnish on salads or to accent your favorite dish. With a strong and resilient root system and densely foliated stem, this citrus makes an excellent candidate for bonsai culture. This is a grafted plant that will bloom and fruit sooner.
This lime relative may grow as a small tree or a shrub. The fragrant flowers are white and the long cylindrical fruit comes in different colors, including pink and green.
