Helleborus x hybridus [Brandywine Strain] is a broadleaf evergreen or semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In spring and winter apricot, cream, green and pink flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with mostly sun - shade and regular - occasional water. Drought tolerant once established. We offered this strain years ago, and now that our plants are OUTPERFORMING so many other Lenten Roses in our garden (yes, still getting better and better after more than a decade), we are offering young plants once again. This hybrid seed strain was selected by David Culp of Pennsylvania, with an eye toward larger outward facing flowers. This is a seed strain and the colors vary from plant to plant.
