A hardier and dreamy selection of Muhly Grass selected by Scott and Lauren Springer Ogden. 15-18" fine textured clumps spread to 2', with flowering stems adding another 10-12" in height. More purplish red than M. capillaris. Grows well in dry poor soil, but is happy almost anywhere in full sun. Seed heads would be great for cutting. Shipping qt. pots.

This is grass with dense tufts of slender stems and foliage. It produces clouds of bright red to pinkish panicles in late summer and fall. Plant in full sun in hot locations in your garden. Use it en masse or repeat it throughout your border. The dried flower stems provide good winter interest.
