Savour Basil is a broadleaf deciduous, evergreen or semi-evergreen annual / biennial or perennial herb with green foliage. In summer purple flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

Basils are one of the most popular herbs used fresh or dried in a wide variety of dishes. Bushy upright plants have aromatic, shiny foliage in a variety of shapes, colours and flavours. Each year we carry 10-15 different basils. Plant in a warm, well-drained site. Remove flower heads promptly to keep the plant producing foliage. Can be grown indoors on a windowsill. Though enticing, don't grow basils outside until around May 15 as soils and night time temperatures will be too low.
