Helleborus x hybridus 'Amethyst Glow' (Winter Jewels series) is a broadleaf evergreen perennial with green foliage. In spring and winter purple flowers emerge. Deep dark purple petals with lighter lavender margins. This was the most exciting hellebore last spring in the nursery. These come from Northwest Garden Nursery, Eugene. OR. Marietta and Ernie O'Byrne have the most exiting hybrids of any we've seen. All of these hybrids are vibrant colors and it's exciting to see what new seedlings produce each spring. Northwest Garden Nursery doesn't ship their hybrids and they are only open 2 weekends per year, so it's your chance to get some of these beautiful perennials from our catalog. It's really difficult to sell any of these gorgeous plants; they are so beautiful, we want to keep all of them.

This gorgeous hellebore strain comes from the Winter Jewels Series bred by Marietta O'Byrne, one of the best hellebore breeders in the world. Beautiful in their own right, white and light coloured hellebores are perfect companions to help show off the deep purple, red and black flowered plants against the dark spring soil. Deer resistant.
