This excellent selection of the woody C. heracleifolia has stunning dark blue-purple flowers instead of the typical light blue flowers. The upright growth, clothed with dark green trifoliate leaves, tops out at 30" tall in early summer, about the same time that the flowers begin to appear in the terminals and leaf axils...a great border plant.
