Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Yucca rostrata is a supremely hardy species with beautiful, symmetrical, spherical crowns of powder blue, needle-like leaves. It will grow to about 16 inches in four years but over time it will develop a trunk and form an amazing, upright, unbranched tree to about five feet and possibly larger. Needs excellent drainage in full sun.
This commanding! native perennial grows to tree-like proportions (6-12' with a 5-8" trunk!) densely clothed by (eventually shaggy) 1-2' sword-like leaves; fittingly imposing 2' +stalks of 3" white flowers appear in autumn. S/M-D/GDr
Full Sun to Light Shade. Outdoor. 2' long clusters of White Flowers .

Cold hardy to Zone 8-10. A beautiful large spherical crown of narrow blue grey leaves on a solitary trunk. The blossoms are on tall spikes of white. Takes drought and hard freezes.

Probably the most handsome of the hardy yuccas for the Pacific Northwest. Stiff grey-blue leaves form a halo around a slowly elongating trunk. Full sun and well-drained soil for a happy plant. A little summer water for faster growth. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
This is one of the most attractive of all the Yuccas which can be grown in our area. This is trunk forming in time and can get quite tall but it is unlikely you will have to worry about height becoming an issue in the years you have left. Big dramatic head of softly pokey thin blue-green leaves.
Trunk forming yucca with 1 inch wide leaves creates a beautiful focal point in the garden. White flowers on 4 ft tall spike.
