Ferny 12” clumps of handsome serrated silver green foliage makes this a perennial worth growing… but the dangling 6” long pony tails of lilac pink on 24” stems in summer will stop gawkers in their tracks, guaranteed! Easy in consistently moist average garden soil in sun to part shade. Limited supply. USDA Z5-9
Large, arching and bushy lilac-pink "squirrel tails" on 18" stems add a whimsical note to the late spring and early summer border. Occasionally they'll produce blooms even longer. Cute, "pinked" gray-green oval leaves form a basal clump. It's tolerant of many conditions and deer-resistant. It comes to us from Japan and is named after the mountain, Haku. Minimum temperature: 0° F
A downright useful Japanese perennial for the intriguingly different pendulous bottlebrushes that dangle from the upright stems. The graceful flowers are lilac-pink and bloom for a long period in the summer. The clumping foliage is gray-green with great texture of serrated edges and nice presence throughout the year.
