Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Paris is a Trillium relative from Asia with particular appeal for collectors who love unusual woodlanders. It has quiet yet beautiful flowers on a trillium-like plant. The stem is circled by a single whorl for four to seven mid-green leaves which is echoed by the flower with its own whorl of green bracts subtending threadlike yellow-green petals, golden stamens and a dark purple ovary. It is topped with a purple-black berry in late summer and fall. Part shade in rich soil.
