This elegant and captivating hybrid has lips of pure white, a central column in yellow and twisted tepals of rich maroon. 'Sebastian' forms many flowers, often two per stem. Grows up to 60 cm (23 inches) high and flowers in the second half of May. 'Sebastian' is not quite as robust and tolerant as the other hybrids. Good drainage is especially important. Seed-grown. Plants will resemble the image but may not be identical. A cross of two North American species: C. parviflorum and C. montanum. Lady's slipper hybrids are much more vigorous and easy to grow than species. Blooming size.
