Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A wonderfully compact grass only 9-12" tall! This Fescue has a rugged disposition, tough and easy to grow, it can take heat, humidity and drought. Its best feature is that it stays the bluest of blue all year long. It is perfect for containers, borders or as a water-wise lawn replacement. S/M-D/GDr
Beyond Blue' is said to be the bluest Festuca glauca available and noticeably bluer than the industry standard 'Elijah Blue'. You'll have to compare for yourself but we agree. This is an amazing powdering blue foliage component for full sun containers and beds. On the West Coast Festuca should be planted in hot dry spots with thin soils. Avoid rich soils. Also great in containers.
Intensely blue blades stay bright throughout the season with no browning. Intersperse among plants with similar requirements to hold the garden together, or plant close together for a tufted carpet. 6-12" T & W. Minimum temperature: -30?F
