This floriferous selection has markedly larger flowers with darker black centres and deeper blue petals than the form commonly in cultivation (see photo). Passiflora caerulea is hardy in coastal BC, especially against a south facing wall or fence. Bury the stem four inches deep to improve hardiness in well-drained soil that is not too moist or too rich to promote more flowers and less greenery. Edible, but not the most tasty, yellow fruit are produced if pollinators visit.
