Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Unlike most other other junipers, this one is soft to the touch and provides dynamic, seasonal color changes. In the spring it emerges an attractive chartreuse hue, changes to bright yellow and then takes on orange hues in the autumn. Like its' parent, J. horizontalis 'Hughes', it's easy to grow, drought tolerant and has the same spreading, horizontal habit. Use in mass plantings; rock gardens; slope and bank plantings. Tolerates hot, dry, sunny locations and city conditions and is adaptable to most soils, including sandy, rocky ones. Little care is needed but may be pruned to shape in early spring.
