Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This lovely columbine hybrid has medium-sized flowers that are orange-red with a yellow center in May to mid-June. You can force the plants to re-bloom by shearing to the ground immediately after flowering. New foliage will emerge shortly and you should have a 2nd flush of flowers as well. I will usually let those flowers go to seed as columbine can be a short-lived species.
