Manzano is Spanish for "Apple" Hense the name. Mature tree Grows to 10' tall and Produces large bunches of delicious chubby apple flavored desert bananas. The Manzano's tart/sweet apple flavor is sure to make it a favorite in any garden. Great disease resistance Zones 8 and up great wind resistant. All around favorite variety.
Not commercially grown but is a popular back yard banana in Hawaii. Fully ripe fruit have a slight apple taste. Grows to 16' high with a bit of red around the leave edges.
