Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Bavarian Blue Campanula is a dwarf bell flower with dense, spreading dark green foliage and blue-purple flowers in mid-summer. These dwarf campanulas are often found growing in cracks in solid rocky cliffs where they form bright blue lines across the otherwise barren rocks. No rock wall or stone feature is complete without 'Bavarian Blue' planted in the cracks and around the base of larger rocks.
If planting in rocky areas, mix this plant with various sedum varieties for the best use of tall and short rock plants.

Propagating Campanula 'Bavarian Blue'
Best propagated in early spring by division. We take one gallon containers and cut them in half from the top down, then in half again into fourths. These divisions completely fill out a one gallon container and flower in a month or so. Smaller divisions can be made but they typically don't flower in the same season.
