Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Neat clumps of lobed leaves irregularly edged in vanilla white become suffused with rose tones in cool weather. Mid-summer, 18” stems are topped by light pink starbursts which if removed after fading often reward with another flush of bloom. Pretty perennial that never outgrows its place. Enjoys sun to part shade, good garden soil, and regular moisture. Use in groupings for best effect. Attracts butterflies; good cut flower.
A new introduction from Brad Grover in Illinois with the GET Group with deep lobed, blue-green leaves with wide Vanilla Margins that remain attractive all season and become flushed with pink when cool weather comes in Fall. In early to mid-summer, silvery-pink pincushion blooms appear. Deadheading promotes a second flush of blooms. A selection of A. m. 'Primadonna', it has proven to be a stable sensation in trials gardens for 6 years A reliable, trouble free plant that's well-behaved.
