Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A cliff wall covered with these is an unforgettable sight! but their pink and salmon flowers are just as lovely in a dry-shade-garden, placed where the rosette of fleshy leaves can?t catch water. PSh/D/GDr/gravel collar
A succulent perennial with fleshy leaves and rootstocks, growing to 12" in bloom. The tight, low-growing, glabrous foliage forms symmetrical rosettes sometimes tinged pink, beneath short panicles of large, showy flowers. Plants bloom intermittently throughout summer and the blossoms vary in color, mostly white or pink-striped, though selected cultivars offer rose, apricot or cerise blossoms. Use in light shade on rocky embankments, in rock gardens, dry stone walls or containers. Provide occasional to infrequent water and deadhead plants for continuous bloom in mild winter areas. Hardy to 0F. Northwestern California and Southwestern Oregon.
Lewisia, also called Cliff Maids is a clump forming evergreen perennial with small rosettes of dark green succulent foliage, mounding to 6" with beautiful striped flowers on short stems. Likes very well drained soil, full sun to pt shade
Evergreen, spring-summer flowers, pink, orange, white, red, deep rooted, tolerating dry soil. Zone 5-9, 6"-12", PNW, part sun-sun, gritty, well drained
One of Northern California and Southern Oregon's most beautiful native wildflowers. These have been hybridized into an eye popping range of colors. Nice evergreen rosettes as well. Give these plants sun and excellent drainage and enjoy the show. May go deciduous in too much heat or cold, but they are hardy in USDA zone 4.
Native alpine perennials with low rosettes of thick evergreen foliage. Flowers appear well above the foliage in June and come in a variety of colors: white, candy-stripe, pink, red, orange, yellow and purple. Excellent for the rock or container garden.
A rock garden plant grown for its bright colored flowers and attractive rosettes. Native to the mountains of Oregon and California, this zone 6 plant has a wide variety of intense flower colors. Our hybrids bloom two to four times during the growing season. They need fast draining soil such as in a rock garden, but can also be used as a bedding plant provided sand or gravel is added to the soil. They are great in containers.
