The large thick flattened leaves are centered with alternating stripes of soft primrose yellow and lime and edged in purplish-red. Where Colorful Crepes Flapjacks receives at least some direct sunlight the contrasting colors deepen and intensify. Use this colorful and easy to grow succulent in containers, sandy and xeric soils, and in the ground where winters are mild. Needs a well-drained soil for the best results. Easy to grow and enjoy! Kalanchoe thrysiflora has fleshy paddle like silvery grey leaves forming rosettes like stacked clam shells. The leaves appear to be covered with a thick flour-like coating of dusty powder. In winter to spring 2-3 foot stems grow quickly with clusters of sweetly fragrant dark yellow tubular flowers. Likes sun and neglect.
