This stunning Japanese maple, as the name suggests, originated in Rhode Island and is hardy to -20°. A compact and densely leafed, upright dwarf with foliage that emerges bright red, darkening to burgundy with age. Fall color is a fiery orange to red, on red stems which also add winter interest with the round bushy habit.
